THE 2022/2023 STUDENT RECRUITMENT CAMPAIGN COMMENCED

The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has launched a 2022/2023 student recruitment campaign. The winners will receive Russia’s state scholarships (https://education-in-russia.com/news/start-priemnoy-kampanii-2022-23-uchebnogo-goda).

The deadline for the submission of documents is November 1, 2021.

Who can participate in the competition?

  • Dutch Nationals;
  • Russian Nationals (except for those whose national passports have a stamp of registration in the Russian Federation or this registration was cancelled later than September 1, 2021, as well as those who already obtained free-of-charge education in Russia before);
  • Apatrides living in the Netherlands.

ATTENTION:

Applicants are invited to submit their documents to the Russian E,massy in the Netherlands.

An invitation to the qualifying tests will be sent to those who have:

  • registered on https://education-in-russia.com/ and received an automatically generated e-mailed confirmation of registration;
  • filled out application forms, uploaded scanned copies of their photos, passports and education documents (or certificates of their education periods);
  • chosen a field of study;
  • chosen an educational institution / institutions (up to six ones can be specified in descending order of preference, but no more than three in one federal district and no more than two in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Sevastopol); candidates can apply for one field of study within the same level of education;
  • signed their application forms and changed the status of their set of documents to "For Verification"; documents with a "Draft" status will be not considered.

The applicants are supposed to:

  • regularly check their personal account at https://education-in-russia.com/;
  • upload notarized translations of all documents (only after receiving the Embassy’s approval).

ATTENTION:

Medical documents are not required at the first stage. They will have to be uploaded in January as they have to be valid when transferred to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

Russian Educational Institutions’ Pre-University Programmes envisage a free one-year course of the Russian language (optional). Scholarships and accommodation are provided to foreign and Russian students regardless of their academic performance.

ATTENTION:

Transportation expenses and medical insurance are not covered.

Employment Opportunity

Employment conditions have been facilitated for foreign students since 2020 (Federal Law No. 115-FZ dated July 25, 2002 "On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation" amended by the Federal Law dated February 06, 2020 No. 16-FZ): an employment agreement or civil contract can be signed upon presenting a certificate from the university (college) confirming the fact of study.
