Students of Leiden University visit the Embassy
On April 12 a group of students of Leiden University visited Russian Embassy in the Netherlands.
Ambassador Alexander Shulgin in his speech highlighted importance of contacts not only with authorities and business, but also with students. The Ambassador regretted that there are various stereotypes regarding Russia in the Netherlands, and emphasized importance of live communication to enhance understanding between the states.
First Secretary Konstantin Granovskiy and Attaché Anton Naumkin answered questions of the guests. Participants discussed the state of the Russian-Dutch bilateral relations, influence of the sanctions policy of the EU on Russian economy, investigation of the MH17 crash, and particular issues relating to the diplomatic service.
